Biden recaudará fondos para Obama en los Hamptons

Mientras el Presidente Obama descansa en Camp David en uno de los últimos fines de semana libres que tendrá antes de afrontar la convención y la recta final de la campaña, el Vicepresidente Joe Biden recaudará fondos con los ricos y famosos en los Hamptons.

Vice President Joe Biden will visit one of the wealthiest ZIP codes in the nation, and mingle with rich and famous, on Friday to raise campaign cash.

The vice president will attend two fund-raisers in Bridgehampton, one of the tony enclaves in the Hamptons on the East End of New York's Long Island, CNN confirmed.

One event – titled "East End for Obama" – will be hosted by funnyman Nathan Lane, whose had rave appearances in ABC's "Modern Family," along with "The Producers" on Broadway and the film, "The Birdcage." Also slated to attend are actresses Julianne Moore and "Sopranos" star Edie Falco. Musician James Taylor will perform.

Ticket prices range from $500 to $10,000, according to Obama campaign official.

The event will be held at the home of Ellen Chesler and Matthew Mallow. Chesler is a senior fellow with the progressive Roosevelt Institute, and Mallow is a retired partner formerly at the New York office of law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
